Question #1 Where
are you located?
Answer: On the shores of the Cataraqui
River, a part of the Rideau Canal system,
Dolce Bella Spa is located in the historic
building, the old woolen mill.
Cataraqui is an Indian word meaning "water
over rocks", an ideal theme for our spa.
Although only about a half mile from
downtown Kingston, Canada's first capital,
it feels like you are miles away. Across the
river you will find the Royal Military
College (Canada's WestPoint) as well as Fort
Henry, a National Historic site. You can
also view Lake Ontario and the Thousand
Islands from our windows. During summer
months you can often see the Rowing Club
members practicing along the river, and sail
boats drifting into the bay.
An abundance of free parking ensures that
you will start de-stressing from the moment
you arrive.
Question #2 Do
you accommodate wedding parties?
Answer: Weddings parties routinely are
papered at Dolce Bella Spa. Due to the
complexity of scheduling groups, please
leave adequate time to confirm your date.
It's always good to review the services on
line, to have a idea of what you wish to
indulge yourself in.
The size of the group we can accommodate is
dependent on the number of services each
person wishes to receive, and how advanced
you schedule your day.
Customary services for weddings are
manicures, pedicures, waxing and the perfect
hair style. It is strongly suggested, that
you book at least one trial appointment,
well in advance of your wedding day. Trials
are to insure things are to your wishes and
that you have no worries on your special
day.
So if you could imagine a place, where time
stands still, if you could experience
luxuriously refreshing ambiance, and the
perfect view, would you deny yourself the
indulgence?
Question #3 How
do I book a spa package or service?
Answer: Simply phone us, and one of our
Guest Managers will help you to decide which
services are perfect for you. Our Guest
Managers will then work out a schedule to
begin your pampering.
Question #4 What
do your spa packages consist of?
Answer: Our spa packages can be customized
for each guest... Typically, $40 is applied
to your gourmet lunch and hair service, the
balance is applied to the services you
desire to have. Our Guest Managers have been
trained to assist you in keeping your
choices within the cost of your spa budget,
or gift certificate. If you so desire,
additional services can be added to enhance
your day.
Question #5 Is
there any deposit required to book a
package?
Answer: We only appeal for a deposit for
large groups at this time.
However we do require the courtesy of a 72
hour cancellation notice on all spa packages
and group bookings, and 24 hours notice on
all spa services. Any missed appointments,
or appointments cancelled less than 24 hours
in advance, will be charged 50% of the
treatment or package cost.
Question #6 How
far in advance do I have to book?
Answer: Some days are more popular than
others, in some cases we require 4-6 weeks
advance booking, but at times you're able to
schedule with in the week.
It is best to book your spa experience as
soon as your plans for pampering have been
made. We do have cancellations from time to
time, and we maintain a computerized "wait
list". You are welcome to place your name on
our wait list at any time if you are unable
to make an appointment.
Question #7 Do
your prices include tax?
Answer: All of our prices are quoted in
Canadian dollars. Taxes, where applicable,
are extra.
Question #8 What
forms of payment do you accept?
Answer: US currency accepted at prevailing
exchange rate.
We also accept: Visa, MasterCard, American
Express, Direct payment and of course cash
